Here’s the view outside of out back door at 10:00 am.
The weather folks say that snow will continue at 1 to 2
inches an hour until 5:00 pm. Trusting
in the genius of Sheena
Parveen is chancy stuff. What
exactly is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist, but what the hell, let’s just
go with that we won’t be getting to the grocery store any time soon. Yes, friends in Wyoming don’t understand our
problem.
For fun, assume that the Super Bowl locusts ate up
everything in your fridge. Let’s also imagine
that at some point before the thaw you are going to need sustenance. Here’s the challenge. Send me a list of four things in your fridge
and I’ll write a recipe for something good.
We’ll figure that you have a reasonably stocked pantry, butter, mustard,
potatoes… Also, we’ll assume that you
have all the standard pots and pans that are in an average kitchen.
Email your list to me at lou.farrell@gmail.com or post it in the comments section by 3:00 pm Eastern and I’ll post the most
interesting recipes by 5:00. Keep it
reasonable. I won’t be writing any
recipes that demand truffles, 100 year-old brandy or long pig.
This is kind of a high wire act. Let’s see where it takes us.
